Description: The BCAA Road Safety Foundation (RSF) CPS Basic Course is an online learning resource developed in partnership with the Justice Institute of BC (JIBC) for parents, caregivers and professionals. The course will provide learners with the basic knowledge needed to safely secure children in vehicles. It includes information on:

• What happens in a crash
• Protecting children in vehicles
• Using a seat belt system
• Using a child car seat
• Unsafe practice and problem solving
• Public education

The CPS Basic Course is a pre-requisite to the Child Passenger Safety Educator Certification course offered by the BCAA RSF through the JIBC.
