Before initiating the BCAA Road Safety Foundation School Safety Patrol program, the school principal must obtain approval from the School Board.
Although most School Board administrators know about patrols in general, they may not be familiar with the BCAA RSF program:
- Training materials
- Student resources
- Patrol equipment
The school principal or a School Board representative must complete and sign the BCAA RSF Registration Form which outlines specific roles and responsibilities. Your completed form is to be returned to the BCAA Road Safety Foundation.
A School Safety Patrol Program requires people and organizations to work together. The BCAA RSF encourages your school to work with:
- Parent Advisory Councils
- Police
- Bylaw officers
- Traffic engineering departments
- Community safety councils
- Service clubs
- Other community organizations
